Paolo and Amanda began Pour Wine Reviews, an amateur wine reviews video blog, to share their experiences tasting and learning about wine. They have no formal wine education but drink a lot of wine, if that counts for anything.
Wine tasting can be intimidating, and intimidating experiences aren’t necessarily fun, so to that extent, Pour Wine Reviews is the anti-tasting tasting blog. (Read: We’re breaking the rules and having fun!)
Paolo and Amanda do not believe in the use of spit buckets. Save water, drink wine.
They rate wines based upon a five-cork scale: one cork being terrible and five corks being fan-fricken-tastic. If they rate a wine differently, they take the average for the score.
Unless otherwise disclosed, Paolo or Amanda have purchased the wine they review.
Rating system:
Paolo and Amanda use a 5-cork (think: stars) rating system, as used by many wine bloggers. Lenndevours best articulated the scoring system and its 100-point equivalent, which we have slightly modified below.
